Dean Fleischmann specializes in Japanese style tattoos, from one shot (single session) to full body (large scale multi session) projects. His style is a unique blend of traditional horimono tattoos with an illustrative flair, often drawing inspiration from Ukiyo-e woodblock prints as well as paintings, statues, and carvings.

For all large scale and custom design requests, an “in person consultation” will be required. If you are traveling, this can be done virtually after contact is made. For larger work, multiple appointments will be scheduled upon initial booking, anywhere from 1-6 months out. The typical wait time is 2-8 weeks depending on your availability.

Standard rate:
$250/hr for all custom tattoos, large and small.

This rate is offered only when choosing from one of Dean’s pre-drawn large scale concepts (sleeve, back piece, etc).
These designs are intended for areas of the body free of tattoos. Not intended for intensive cover up work, although some small tattoos might be covered/worked around.
There will be little to no changes to the original design. Minimal changes may be made in order to fit the client’s body as well as color schemes (black & grey, full color, limited palette).
Clients must be serious and commit to 4-6 hours of work per month to keep this rate, with the majority of the work being performed in San Diego.

If you would like to choose from a pre drawn selection of designs in Dean’s flash books, these will be given at a flat rate of $250-1000 (The majority are in the $400-700 range). These books are always available for in person viewing at the shop (preferred), or virtually by request. He is constantly adding new designs, and you can see current flash and updates as well by signing up for the NEWSLETTER
Cash is the preferred method of payment. Dean has a card reader that accepts debit and all major credit cards, however these charges will incur an ADDITIONAL 10% inclusive of all taxes and fees. All quoted prices are given at the cash rate. Occasionally, payment can be split between cash and card, but this is not preferred, and clients are required to notify Dean of such situations beforehand. The cost for each session will be determined by the time booked. If you are unsure at any point of how much your tattoo will cost, please feel free to ask.

Gratuity
Tipping is always appreciated but never expected. Dean charges a fair and competitive rate regardless of tips.
Cancellations and reschedules must be given a minimum notice of 48 hours before the appointment, or a new deposit will be required. These must be made by calling the shop and/or emailing Dean directly. Please note that calling the shop is the most direct way to make contact should you need to reschedule. Last minute cancellations made via social media or DMs will not be honored.

Cancellations made within less than 48 hours will be required to submit a new deposit of $250 to rebook or continue ongoing projects.
You may rebook any appointment up to two times and keep your deposit in good standing, as long as more than 48 hours notice is given. Upon the 3rd rebooking, a new $250 deposit will be required.
No call/no show will require a full payment for the appointment to continue booking ANY future appointments
