Dean charges $250/hr for multiple session pieces booked in increments of 2/3/4/5 hour appointments. To start a larger piece such as a sleeve or back piece, a full day appointment will be required at a flat rate of $1500 (6+hours). For smaller, “one shot” pieces, a fixed price will be made based on time, placement, and detail.
I accept cash, card, and Zelle. Cash is preferred, but cards and Zelle can be accepted with an additional 10% charge that is inclusive of all taxes and fees. All one shot tattoos will be quoted at the cash rate.
2 hr appointment: $500 cash/$550 card, Zelle
3 hr apppintment: $750 cash/$825 card, Zelle

There are many factors that determine how long it will take to complete a large scale tattoo. Size, placement, detail, pain tolerance, and client schedules are all variables that can dictate the amount of time required. Here are some rough estimates:
One shot design: 1.5+hrs
Half Sleeve: 10-15+hrs
Full Sleeve: 20-30+hrs
Full Leg 30-40+hrs
Full Back 50-60+hrs

Yes. A non refundable $250 deposit is required to make an appointment and will be applied to the total cost of the tattoo (If it is a multi session project, your deposit will come off at the final appointment). This allows to Dean to block out time for you in his calendar, prepare your design, and say ‘no’ to other clients.
Additional deposits may be required when booking subsequent days. For booking a single session tattoo of 4+hrs, sometimes a larger deposit may be required to protect both time and space in my calendar.
Deposits are good for 6 months from the date of your appointment. If no communication is made and no appointments are booked for multi session projects after 6 months a new deposit will be required.
A minimum of 48hrs notice is required for any reschedules to keep your deposit in good standing. You are allowed to reschedule your appointment(s) twice before a new deposit is needed.
Please communicate with me if you need to put a project on hold to avoid losing your deposit.

For large scale tattoos, Dean will almost always require an “in person consultation” beforehand. During these meetings, it is common for him to sketch a rough idea on paper, a tracing of the body, or even use markers to illustrate an idea on the skin. The consultation allows both artist and client to feel comfortable and confident with the size and scope of the project, and moving forward with booking appointments. Designs are made chronologically by project, and are not typically ready until the day of your tattoo. Artwork is not sent out prior to your appointment. If you are unsure of exactly what you want tattooed, it is recommended that you pick from available flash designs or reference previous tattoos or artworks.

If you have a request about a style of tattooing or imagery you don’t see—don’t hesitate to ask! Dean enjoys doing traditional American tattooing as well as dotwork illustrative black and grey tattoos from time to time and as his schedule allows. If he can do the design requested, he will be happy to. If someone else can do it better, he will also happily send you in their direction. Dean does not do any form of realism or Neo traditional tattooing.

Dean will do cover ups and complete projects started by other tattooers on a case by case basis. Depending on the existing work and the desired result, if the client is open to the size and scope of the imagery available for a successful cover up, Dean will take on such a project. Often times laser removal therapy is recommended in order to lighten a preexisting tattoo to the point where a cover up will be the most successful. If there is a client who can no longer work with an artist to finish an “in progress” tattoo, Dean can complete it depending on the specific nature of the situation.
